The National Grain and Feed Service of Bulgaria published its updated estimations of the country's grain and oilseed exports as of May 1 of the current year. In particular, since the beginning of the season the country shipped 6.36 mln tonnes of grains and oilseeds, including the EU imports - 3.98 mln tonnes.
During July-April of 2014/15 MY, Bulgaria supplied 2.88 mln tonnes of wheat on foreign markets, as opposed to 3.57 mln tonnes in the same period of the previous year. The supplies to the EU countries totaled 1.5 mln tonnes of wheat.
In the reporting period, the exports of corn totaled 1.74 mln tonnes, barley - 0.55 mln tonnes, and sunflower seed - 0.72 mln tonnes.
As of May 1, 2015, the export potential of Bulgarian wheat until the end of the season totaled 0.9 mln tonnes, corn - 0.9 mln tonnes, and sunflower seed - 0.56 mln tonnes.
