In January-April of 2015, the volume of grain shipment for exports by enterprises of PJSC Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (NCSP Group) totaled 1.667 mln tonnes, a decrease of 20.9% compared with the same period last year (or down 439 thsd tonnes), declared the press-service of the company on May 25.

At the same time, in the reporting period the Group decreased vegetable oils shipment to 111.4 thsd tonnes, down 14.3%.

According to Sultan Batov, General Director of PJSC NCSP, the rates of cargo shipment somewhat slowed due to decline of wheat exports under the influence of customs duties, decline of the demand and supplies of imported goods. At the same time, the company partially compensated reduction of wheat exports, by increasing of barley foreign supplies.

The Group operates two of the largest Russian ports – Port of Novorossiysk on the Black Sea coast, and Port of Primorsk on the Baltic Sea – as well as Port of Baltiysk in Kaliningrad oblast.
