As of June 8, Kazakh agrarians planted spring grains throughout the areas of over 14 mln ha (96% of the planned areas of 14.7 mln ha). The oilseed planted areas reached 2 mln ha (93%), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
It is noted that to date, southern oblasts of the country completed the spring crops planting campaign. But northern, central and western oblasts still continue realizing the crops planting works, due to heavy rainfalls in May, exceeding the average long-term rate in 3 times. But in terms of favorable weather conditions in the current month, Kazakhstan will complete all planting works until the end of the first ten days of June.
