To date, Russia is not yet ready to include confectionery products in its sanctions list, declared Alexander Tkachev, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, on June 26.
According to him, the Government puts the interests of consumers at the first place. And if the confectionery products become banned for example, it can have very bad impact on the balance of food supply.
He added that the Government will return to the issue of possible expansion of the list of food products subject to the import ban, after a careful analysis of the possible consequences.
