According to the polling of agricultural producers conducted by APK-Inform experts, most agricultural households of Zaporizhia oblast noted that sunflower seed areas were in the phase of flower-bud formation. At the same time, agrarians estimated the condition of plants as good throughout 100% of the planted areas. Thus, the market participants stressed that high precipitation indices caused intensive accumulation of moisture reserves in the soil in mid-June, which resulted in acceleration of the phase of plant development.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, Zaporizhia oblast planted sunflower seed for the harvest-2015 throughout the areas of 514.3 thsd ha.
