As of July 20, Russian agrarians harvested grain crops and pulses throughout 6.3 mln ha (in 2014 – 9.1 mln ha), or 13.5% of the planned areas. The produced volumes reached over 23.4 mln tonnes (in 2014 – 31.7 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 3.7 t/ha (3.48 t/ha), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

According to the announcement, to date all regions of the Southern, North Caucasian, Crimean Districts, and some regions of the Central and Volga Federal Districts, provide grain harvesting works.

In particular, Russia harvested winter and spring wheat throughout the areas of 4.8 mln ha, or 18.2% of the plan (in 2014 – 7.4 mln ha), and produced 18.3 mln tonnes of the grain (26.4 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 3.78 t/ha (35.8 t/ha).

Agrarians harvested 2.7 mln tonnes of spring and winter barley (2.9 mln tonnes) throughout 765.9 thsd ha, or 8.6% of the harvested areas (in 2014 – 879.6 thsd ha). The average yield totaled 3.52 t/ha (3.26 t/ha).

As of the reporting date, Russian agrarians harvested rapeseed throughout 83.2 thsd ha or 7.9% of the plan (in 2014 – 198.2 thsd ha), and produced 129.5 thsd tonnes of the oilseed (in 2014 – 318.7 thsd tonnes). The average yield totaled 1.56 t/ha (1.61 t/ha).
