In January-June period of 2015, the sea ports of Russia decreased the shipment volumes of grains by 5.1% compared with the same period last year - to 9 mln tonnes, announced the Association of Sea Commercial Ports of the Russian Federation.
At the same time, in the reporting period there was observed some decreasing of mineral fertilizers shipment - down 1.1%, to 7.2 mln tonnes.
The general cargo turnover in the Russian sea ports increased by 3.5% compared with the first six months of 2014, and totaled 322.3 mln tonnes.
According to the announcement, the export cargo shipment reached 260 mln tonnes, up 5.3% compared with the same period last year, imports – 16.4 mln tonnes (down 24%), transit – 24.3 mln tonnes (up 0.4%), coastal freight - 21.6 mln tonnes (up 15.3%).
