In July 2015, Russia will export no more than 2.1 mln tonnes of grains, a decrease of 1.5 times compared with the same month of the previous year (3.12 mln tonnes), announced Igor Pavensky, Deputy Director of the strategic management department of Rusagrotrans CJSC, on July 21.

According to him, slowdown of the harvesting campaign rates, and some difficulties in customs clearance of wheat export volumes, became the major reasons for the reporting decreasing of exports.

In particular, in July the volume of wheat foreign shipments will fall to 1.4 mln tonnes, against 2.67 mln tonnes in July 2014. At the same time, the export volumes of barley are expected to grow to 450 thsd tonnes, against 387 thsd tonnes, and corn - to 130 thsd tonnes, as opposed to 46 thsd tonnes.

In July, the deep-sea ports of the Russian Federation will cover nearly 54% of the general grain exports (1.136 mln tonnes), up 5% compared with the same month in 2014 (1.083 mln tonnes), said the analyst.

I.Pavensky expected for development of the same trends on reduction of Russian grain shipments in August 2015.

Rusagrotrans lowered its estimations of grain exports next month to 3.2 mln tonnes, against 3.8 mln tonnes. As a reminder, in August 2014 the index totaled 4.64 mln tonnes.
