In 2014/15 MY, Ukraine exported 35.117 mln tonnes of grains, a decrease of 1.768 mln tonnes compared with the forecasted indices published last month, declared the Interdepartmental working group under the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine on July 22.

In particular, the export volumes of wheat totaled 11.234 mln tonnes, rye - 22 thsd tonnes, barley - 4.485 mln tonnes, corn – 18.875 mln tonnes, oats – 39 thsd tonnes, millet – 53 thsd tonnes, and other grains – 404 thsd tonnes.

According to the balance sheets, in 2014/15 MY the general grain production in the country (excluding the Crimea) totaled 63.859 mln tonnes.

As of the beginning of 2014/15 MY, the stocks were estimated at 8.339 mln tonnes. Thus, the total supply of grains reached 72.363 mln tonnes, down 123 thsd tonnes compared with the index, published in June. The domestic demand totaled 26.286 mln tonnes of grains, including 11.6 mln tonnes of wheat, 532 thsd tonnes of rye, 4.224 mln tonnes of barley, and 8.573 mln tonnes of corn.

As of the end of 2014/15 MY, the ending stocks were estimated at 10.962 mln tonnes of grains, down 2.482 mln tonnes compared with the index published in the previous forecast.
