In the first half of 2015, Tajikistan imported 395.5 thsd tonnes of wheat, which exceeded the volumes of the same period last year by 23.7 thsd tonnes, declared Nazar Odinazoda, First Deputy Head of the Antimonopoly Service of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to him, in the reporting period the country imported 77.8 thsd tonnes of flour, down 16.8 thsd tonnes compared with January-June of 2014.
The average price for wheat totaled 286 USD/t, while the flour price - 405 USD/t.
