According to operative data as of July 31, Kyrgyzstan harvested wheat throughout the areas of 161.9 thsd ha (54.4%), an increase of 7.3 thsd ha compared with the index on the same date in 2014, reported the Ministry of Agriculture and Melioration of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The production volumes reached 435.9 thsd tonnes, with the average yield of 2.69 t/ha (up 0.78 t/ha compared with 2014).
Also, agrarians harvested barley throughout 105.1 thsd ha (60.1%), up 22.4 thsd ha compared with the previous year. The grain harvest reached 231.9 thsd tonnes, with the average yield of 2.21 t/ha (up 9.1 t/ha).
Lowland raions of the southern regions of Kyrgyzstan and Chuy oblast already completed all field works on grain harvesting.
