In 2015, Russia will possibly reduce the general harvest of agricultural crops, due to the present growth of prices for agricultural resources, including fertilizers, declared the Institute for Economic Policy named after news Yegor Gaidar on July 22 within the monitoring of economic situation in the Russian Federation.
The current increasing of prices for both imported and export-oriented agricultural resources due to the RUR devaluation, slowed down consumption of the products. The rising cost for resources could lead to reduction of fertilizer usage, even in terms of keeping the required planted areas. In such case, the production volumes may become lower compared with several previous years, informed authors of the study.
