Crimean agrarians completed the harvesting campaign of early grain crops. The production volumes reached 1.4 mln tonnes of grains, an increase of 264 thsd tonnes compared with last year, or up 23%, declared Vitaly Polishchuk, Minister of Agriculture of the Crimea, on August 14.
According to him, the harvesting works were rather difficult, the weather conditions slowed down any field works. During 10-12 days, the region faced heavy rains and some delay within barley harvesting rates.
According to V.Polishchuk, the average grain yield increased by 25%, and totaled 2.93 t/ha.
