Good harvest volumes of grain crops, expected in Russia in the current year, became the main reason for early beginning of the public purchasing interventions, declared Sergei Levin, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, on August 19.
According to him, the significant production volumes and current rates of the harvesting campaign became the major background for such development of the intervention purchases.
Also, S.Levin added that previously, the Ministry received a sufficient number of requests from Russian regions, including the Crimean Federal District, on promptly start of the purchasing interventions.
