According to the monitoring data by APK-Inform Agency, in October-July period of 2014/15 MY the volume of export shipments of Russian corn fell to 2.8 mln tonnes, against 3.8 mln tonnes in the same period of the previous season. According to the Agency experts, low qualitative indices of corn grain of the harvest-2014 in terms of rather sufficient offers of the grain in the world, in particular from Ukraine and EU countries, caused such situation development.
Due to low rates of corn exports in the current season, the forecast of the grain shipment volumes on foreign markets in 2014/15 MY totals 3.4 mln tonnes (down 19% compared with 2013/14 MY).
