According to the updated information, as of September 3, Russian agrarians planted winter crops for the harvest-2016 throughout the areas of 4 mln ha, or 23.6% of the plan (in 2014 — 3.5 mln ha), announced the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

Also, agrarians harvested grain crops and pulses throughout 28.3 mln ha (in 2014 – 27.8 mln ha), or 60.2% of the planned areas. The produced volumes reached 74.1 mln tonnes in bunker weight (in 2014 – 77.5 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 2.62 t/ha (2.79 t/ha).

In particular, Russia harvested winter and spring wheat throughout the areas of 17.2 mln ha, or 63.9% of the plan, and produced 50.3 mln tonnes of the grain, with the average yield of 2.93 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested 14.7 mln tonnes of winter and spring barley throughout 6.3 mln ha, or 70.1% of the harvested areas. The average yield totaled 2.35 t/ha.

Also, agrarians started harvesting corn, which harvested areas reached 127 thsd ha (4.5% of the plan). The production volumes totaled 623 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 4.91 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested sunflower seed throughout 233.2 thsd ha, or 3.3% of the planned areas, and produced 494.1 thsd tonnes of the oilseed, with the yield of 2.12 t/ha.

As of the reporting date, Russian agrarians harvested rapeseed throughout 299.1 thsd ha or 28.8% of the plan, and produced 511.1 thsd tonnes of the oilseed. The average yield totaled 1.71 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested 264 thsd tonnes of soybeans throughout 156.6 thsd ha, or 7.7% of the planted areas, with the yield of 1.69 t/ha.

Russia harvested flaxseed throughout 21.4 thsd ha, or 38.1% of the planned areas.
