Ukraine: sea ports increased grain cargoes shipment - Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority

In January-August period of 2015, the Ukrainian sea ports processed 22.4 mln tonnes of grain cargoes (including 22.063 mln tonnes of grains), an increase of 16.6% (19.7%) compared with the same period of 2014, declared the State Enterprise Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority on September 3.

In particular, state stevedoring companies processed 2.403 mln tonnes of grains at berths of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (down 16.7% compared with January-August of 2014), private stevedoring companies at berths of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority – 10.127 mln tonnes (up 50.6%), and stevedoring companies at their own berths – 9.909 mln tonnes (up 2.7%).

In addition, the Sea Commercial Port of Yuzhnyi processed 5.924 mln tonnes of grain cargoes, up 21.2% compared with the same period of 2014.

Also, Mykolaiv Sea Trade Port transshipped 5.404 mln tonnes of grain cargoes (up 33.5%), Odessa Sea Commercial Port – 5.054 mln tonnes (up 39.7%), Sea Commercial Port of Illichivsk – 3.182 mln tonnes (up 21.5%), Oktiabrsk Port – 1.288 mln tonnes (up 9.3%), Berdiansk Port – 583 thsd tonnes (down 22.3%), Kherson Port – 514 thsd tonnes (down 37.3%), Mariupol Port – 215.24 thsd tonnes (down 58.6%), Reni Port – 179.5 thsd tonnes (down 55.2%), and Izmail Port – 78.3 thsd tonnes (up 110.2%).
