According to the updated information, as of September 28, Russian agrarians planted winter crops for the harvest-2016 throughout the areas of 11.2 mln ha, or 65.2% of the plan (in 2014 — 10.4 mln ha), announced the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

Also, agrarians harvested grain crops and pulses throughout 38.4 mln ha (in 2014 – 38 mln ha), or 81.7% of the planned areas. The produced volumes reached 93.2 mln tonnes in bunker weight (96.1 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 2.43 t/ha (2.53 t/ha).

In particular, Russia harvested winter and spring wheat throughout the areas of 23.4 mln ha, or 87.1% of the plan, and produced over 60.3 mln tonnes of the grain, with the average yield of 2.57 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested 17.3 mln tonnes of winter and spring barley throughout 7.6 mln ha, or 85.3% of the harvested areas. The average yield totaled 2.27 t/ha.

Also, they harvested corn grain throughout 833.1 thsd ha (29.8% of the plan). The produced volumes totaled 4.2 mln tonnes, with the yield of 5.03 t/ha.

Russian agrarians harvested 544.8 thsd tonnes of rice throughout 88.9 thsd ha or 44.2% of the planned areas. The average yield totaled 6.13 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested sunflower seed throughout 2.4 mln ha, or 35% of the planned areas, and produced 4.3 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the yield of 1.76 t/ha.

As of the reporting date, Russian agrarians harvested rapeseed throughout 565 thsd ha or 54.4% of the plan, and produced 804.4 thsd tonnes of the oilseed. The average yield totaled 1.42 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested 1.2 mln tonnes of soybeans throughout 724.7 thsd ha (35.9%) with the yield of 1.62 t/ha.

Russia harvested flaxseed throughout 38.1 thsd ha, or 66.2% of the planned areas.
