In October 2015, the Russian grain exports will reduce to 3.2 mln tonnes, as opposed to 3.75 mln tonnes supplied on foreign markets in the previous month, and 3.42 mln tonnes shipped in October 2014, declared the Deputy Director of the strategic management department of Rusagrotrans CJSC, Igor Pavensky, on October 6.

At the same time, the expert expected that in the current month the deep-sea ports reduced its share of grain exports to 41-42%, against 47% in September 2015. Activation of Russian grain supplies towards other directions, especially to Azerbaijan, will be the major reason for such development.

According to I.Pavensky estimations, in October the volumes of grain transshipment from the deep-sea ports of Russia will decrease to nearly 1.32 mln tonnes, against 1.53 mln tonnes in September.

As for September 2015, I.Pavensky noted that the real export volumes (3.25 mln tonnes) significantly differ from the official statistics data - 4.22 mln tonnes.

As a reminder, such discrepancy with the official data is explained by the fact that due to the need for calculating of the export duties, traders registered and exported grain cargoes through temporary declarations, so not all grain volumes came to the official statistics in the month of real export transaction. And the permanent declarations are drawn in the following month.

In September 2015, Egypt kept the leading positions of Russian grain purchasing, which totaled 17% of the grain exports. Also, Turkey (14%), Bangladesh (10%) and South Africa (6.5%) imported significant volumes of grains from Russia.
