In 2015/16 MY, Ukraine will supply nearly equal volumes of milling and feed wheat on foreign markets at the level of nearly 7.5-8 mln tonnes each, declared the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Volodymyr Lapa, on October 9.
According to him, the general export potential of all varieties of wheat will total 16 mln tonnes. He added that the reporting volume of wheat exports is registered in the Memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and grain traders.
V.Lapa said that in the current year, milling wheat forms nearly 55% of the general harvest of 26 mln tonnes of the grain in Ukraine. According to him, in the current season the share of feed wheat in the harvest is slightly higher compared with last year, due to heavy rains that several oblasts of Ukraine faced during the harvesting campaign.
As a reminder, according to the forecast of Ministry of Agrarian Policy, in the current MY Ukraine will export 36.8 mln tonnes of grain crops.
