The Analytical Center of Rusagrotrans CJSC raised its forecast of the general grain harvest in clean weight in Russia to 103.5 mln tonnes, as opposed to 103 mln tonnes of the previous forecast, and 105.3 mln tonnes last year.

In particular, the analysts expect that in the southern part of Russia the harvest volumes will exceed the last year index (38 mln tonnes) and reach 38.3 mln tonnes. The central part of Russia will harvest 24.7 mln tonnes of grains, against 26 mln tonnes in 2014, the Volga region - 18.6 mln tonnes (20.9 mln tonnes), the Urals region - 5.3 mln tonnes (4.5 mln tonnes).

The Siberian region still continues the harvesting campaign of grains, but due to the period of prolonged rains and expected high loss allowance, the final harvest volumes will be slightly lower compared with the previous estimations - nearly 13.5 mln tonnes. As a reminder, in 2014 the harvest totaled 13 mln tonnes.

As for the harvest volumes of basic grains in the current year, the production of wheat will reach 61.4 mln tonnes, up 2.8% compared with last year, and barley - nearly 17.6 mln tonnes, down 13.8%. And the corn harvest in Russia will break the record - 12.8 mln tonnes, up 12.9% compared with 2014.
