Russia plans to increase agricultural products supplying to Iran

Russia is ready to increase the shipment volumes of grains, potash and phosphate fertilizers to Iran, as well as sunflower oil, declared the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Alexander Tkachev on November 12 within frames of the working meeting with the Chairman of the Iranian part of the Permanent Russian-Iranian Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, Minister of Information and Communications Technology of Iran, Mahmoud Vaezi.

Also, A.Tkachev noted the interest of Russian companies-exporters in increasing of the export volumes of animal products to Iran - beef, lamb meat and poultry meat.

Assistance to foundation of joint agricultural enterprises in different regions of Russia is the important direction for development of bilateral cooperation, added the Head of the Ministry of Agriculture.

According to A.Tkachev, such perspective directions as land reclamation, livestock breeding and plant growing selection works also cause significant mutual interest.
