Ukraine: in January, sea ports decreased grain cargoes shipment - Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority

In January 2016, the Ukrainian sea ports processed 1.867 mln tonnes of grain cargoes (including 1.824 mln tonnes of grains), a decrease of 19.5% (down 19.4%) compared with the same period of 2015, declared the State Enterprise Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority on February 12.

In particular, state stevedoring companies processed 124.65 thsd tonnes of grains at berths of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (down 60.8% compared with January 2015), private stevedoring companies at berths of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority – 1.052 mln tonnes (up 7%), and stevedoring companies at their own berths – 689.72 thsd tonnes (down 32.2%).

In addition, Sea Commercial Port of Illichivsk processed 532.54 thsd tonnes of grain cargoes, up 34.1% compared with the same index in 2015.

Also, Odessa Sea Commercial Port transshipped 490.62 thsd tonnes of grain cargoes (down 3.2%), Mykolaiv Sea Trade Port – 340.91 thsd tonnes (down 35.4%), Sea Commercial Port of Yuzhnyi – 275.52 thsd tonnes (down 54.1%), Oktiabrsk Port – 109.81 thsd tonnes (up 8.6%), Kherson Port – 49.84 thsd tonnes (down 4.3%), Berdiansk Port – 34.7 thsd tonnes (down 44.9%), Mariupol Port – 23.82 thsd tonnes (down 43.1%), and Reni Port – 6.6 thsd tonnes (down 77%). Also, Izmail Port did not ship grains at all.
