Ukraine: in January, sea ports increased vegetable oils shipment - Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority

In January 2016, the Ukrainian sea ports processed 823.31 thsd tonnes of liquid bulk cargoes, including 398 thsd tonnes of vegetable oils, an increase of 49% compared with the same period in 2015. The export volumes totaled 363.42 thsd tonnes of vegetable oils (up 53.1%), informed the State Enterprise Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority on February 12.

In particular, state stevedoring companies processed 10.21 thsd tonnes of vegetable oils at berths of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (down 55.8% compared with the same index in 2015), private stevedoring companies at berths of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority – 330.77 thsd tonnes (up 89.5%), stevedoring companies at their own berths – 57.45 thsd tonnes (down 17.7%).

According to the announcement, in the reporting period Sea Commercial Port of Illichivsk shipped 176.6 thsd tonnes of veg oils, up 118.4% compared with the same period in the previous year. Also, Mykolaiv Sea Trade Port shipped 127.61 thsd tonnes of veg oils (up 77.5%), Sea Commercial Port of Yuzhnyi – 69.93 thsd tonnes (down 23.7%), Izmail Port – 6.51 thsd tonnes (up 3.3%), Mariupol Port – 3.7 thsd tonnes (down 78%), Odessa Sea Commercial Port – 8.24 thsd tonnes, and Kherson Port — 5.78 thsd tonnes.
