According to territorial directorates of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor), since January 1 and until May 23, 2016, the exports of grain crops and its by-products from Russia totaled 12.295 mln tonnes, including 7.04 mln tonnes of wheat (57% of the general volumes), declared the Federal Service on May 23.
At the same time, since the beginning of 2015/16 MY (July 1, 2015) Russia shipped for exports 35.21 mln tonnes of grain products, including 23.1 mln tonnes of wheat (66%). Also, during 11 months of the previous season (July-May) Russia exported 34.57 mln tonnes of grains, including 21.05 mln tonnes of wheat.
