According to the State revenue committee at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in July-April of 2015/16 MY the export volumes of barley from Kazakhstan increased by 67% compared with the whole previous season, and reached 803.7 thsd tonnes.
Traditionally, Iran was the main buyer of Kazakh barley. In the reporting period, Kazakhstan shipped 758 thsd tonnes of the grain to Iran (94% of the general export volumes). At the same time, in July-April of the current MY barley exports to Iran almost doubled the delivery volumes in the same period last season.
