In January-June of 2016, the volume of grain shipment for exports by enterprises of PJSC Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (NCSP Group) totaled 2.422 mln tonnes, a decrease of 4.7% compared with the same period last year (2.541 mln tonnes), declared the press-service of the company on July 12.

Deficit of grain stocks on the market due to lowering of the supply of grains of the harvest-2015/16, and expectations of new crop grains coming on the market, became the main reasons for reduction of the monthly transshipment volumes in May and June, and resulted to reduction of the transshipment volumes in the Ist half-year.

Also, in the reporting period NCSP Group decreased vegetable oils shipment by 8.9% - to 134 thsd tonnes. The shipment volumes of chemical cargoes (including mineral fertilizers) lowered by 0.9% - to 522 thsd tonnes.

The Group operates two of the largest Russian ports – Port of Novorossiysk on the Black Sea coast, and Port of Primorsk on the Baltic Sea, as well as Port of Baltiysk in Kaliningrad oblast.
