During 6 months of 2016, Ukraine supplied 9.9 thsd tonnes of flour on the market of Indonesia at the sum of 1.8 mln USD, reported the former Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Vladyslava Rutytska.

According to her, Indonesia significantly reduced the import volumes of flour due to development of its own milling industry for 5 recent years. However, Ukraine managed to increase its share in the structure of Indonesian imports of flour from 5% in 2011 to 32% in 2015 (23 thsd tonnes), and remained one of the largest countries-suppliers of wheat flour on the market.

At the same time, Ukraine also significantly increased the export rates of wheat. Development of Ukrainian exports to Indonesia will grow at the expense of value-added commodities (flour), as well as raw materials (wheat). Indonesia has low import duties: for wheat flour - 5%, flour of other crops - 5.4%, groats - 5%, soybean meal - 0%, sunflower meal - 2.9%. The market does not have quotas or phytosanitary restrictions. And Ukraine is ready to provide quality service for consumers in Indonesia, said V.Rutytska.
