In January-July of 2016, the volume of grain shipment for exports by enterprises of PJSC Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (NCSP Group) totaled 2.815 mln tonnes, a decrease of 9.4% compared with the same period last year, declared the press-service of the company on August 16.

Reduction of grain prices on the global market and low-scale shipment rates by companies-exporters became the main reasons for reduction of the monthly transshipment volumes in the reporting period.

Also, NCSP Group decreased vegetable oils shipment by 12.5% - to 134 thsd tonnes. The shipment volumes of chemical cargoes (including mineral fertilizers) lowered by 10.8% - to 583 thsd tonnes.

The Group operates two of the largest Russian ports – Port of Novorossiysk on the Black Sea coast, and Port of Primorsk on the Baltic Sea, as well as Port of Baltiysk in Kaliningrad oblast.
