The Government of Russia prolonged the period for mandatory disposal of the foodstuffs under counter-sanctions which are illegally imported to the territory of the Russian Federation, until December 31, 2017. The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev signed the corresponding decree #782 dd. August 10, 2016. On August 12, the decree was published on the official legal news web-site.
According to the document, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) will continue realizing disposal procedures.
As a reminder, the decree of mandatory disposal of food products covers meat, sausage products, dairy products and some other products, started operating in Russia since August 2015.
