As of August 18, Russian agrarians continued harvesting grains and pulses. Agrarians harvested grain crops throughout the areas of 23.8 mln ha (on the same date in 2015 — 21 mln ha), or 50.3% of the planned areas (47.3 mln ha). The produced volumes reached 76.1 mln tonnes of grains, with the average yield of 3.2 t/ha (in 2015 – 60.5 mln tonnes with the yield of 2.88 t/ha), reported the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
In particular, agrarians harvested winter and spring wheat throughout 14.7 mln ha (53.1% of the plan). The produced volumes reached 52.7 mln tonnes, with the yield of 3.58 t/ha.
Russia harvested 13.2 mln tonnes of winter and spring barley throughout 5.1 mln ha (61.3%). The average yield totaled 2.58 t/ha.
Also, Russia harvested winter rapeseed throughout 93.3 thsd ha (9.4%), and produced 174 thsd tonnes of the oilseed, with the average yield of 1.87 t/ha.
Agrarians harvested flaxseed throughout 14.8 thsd ha only, or 30.7% of the planted areas.
As of August 18, Russian agrarians planted winter crops for the harvest-2017 throughout 358.9 thsd ha, or 2.1% of the planned areas (in 2015 — 436.8 thsd ha).
