In January-July of 2016, the sea terminal Nika-Tera (Mykolaiv, part of Group DF) shipped 766.5 thsd tonnes of grain cargoes, which is nearly 44.88% of the total cargo turnover (1.707 mln tonnes), declared the press-service of the company on August 19. Also, the terminal shipped 249 thsd tonnes of mineral fertilizers (14.58%), 691.6 thsd tonnes of bulk-loaded cargoes (40.49%), and 0.9 thsd tonnes of general cargoes (0.05%).

In July 2016, Nika-Tera transshipped 281.5 thsd tonnes of cargoes. In particular, the shipment volumes of grains totaled 97 thsd tonnes, mineral fertilizers – 12.3 thsd tonnes, bulk-loaded cargoes – 171.8 thsd tonnes, and general cargoes – 0.5 thsd tonnes. In the reporting month, Nika-Tera processes 16 dry bulk carriers.

According to the Chairman of Nika-Tera specialized sea port, Oleksandr Gaidu, the company already completely well organized the work with such vessels as Panamax, and continue loading them at outer anchorage due to the limited depth of the Dnieper-Bug-liman canal. Operating with large-scale vessels significantly increases the competitive opportunities of the port, cargo owners and charterers. Service rates, cargo turnover, and reduction of all customer logistics costs are the key requirements of cargo shippers. Nika-Tera plans to maximize the number of entries of Panamax vessels to the port, and realize dredging of the Dnieper-Bug-liman canal.
