In January-June of 2016, the import volumes of wheat to Azerbaijan totaled 682.8 thsd tonnes, a decrease of 14.7% compared with the same period of 2015, reported the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to the statistics figures, the general cost of imported wheat to the country totaled 129.132 mln USD (down 31.1%).
Also, in the reporting period Azerbaijan imported 71.4 thsd tonnes of vegetable oils (up 19.6%) at the sum of 61.661 mln USD.
At the same time, in January-June period Azerbaijan exported 4.807 thsd tonnes of vegetable oils (down 60.6%) at the sum of 5.9 mln USD (down 83.4%).
