As of August 25, Russian agrarians continued harvesting grains and pulses. Agrarians harvested grain crops throughout the areas of 28.5 mln ha (on the same date in 2015 — 24 mln ha), or 60% of the planned areas (47.3 mln ha). The produced volumes reached 85 mln tonnes of grains, with the average yield of 2.98 t/ha (in 2015 – 66.2 mln tonnes with the yield of 2.76 t/ha), reported the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

In particular, agrarians harvested winter and spring wheat throughout 17.7 mln ha (63.8% of the plan). The produced volumes reached 59.5 mln tonnes, with the yield of 3.37 t/ha.

Russia harvested 15.481 mln tonnes of winter and spring barley throughout 6.214 mln ha (74.4%). The average yield totaled 2.49 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested corn throughout 3.4 thsd ha (0.1%), and produced 20.1 thsd tonnes of the grain, with the average yield at 5.89 t/ha.

Also, Russia harvested winter rapeseed throughout 181.2 thsd ha (18.2%), and produced 276.7 thsd tonnes of the oilseed, with the average yield of 1.53 t/ha.

Russian agrarians continued the sunflower harvesting campaign. Agrarians harvested 37.2 thsd tonnes of the oilseed throughout 20.2 thsd ha (0.3%). The average yield totaled 1.85 t/ha.

Also, agrarians of Krasnodar Krai started harvesting soybeans: the harvested areas reached 19.1 thsd ha, the produced volumes – 35.4 thsd tonnes, the average yield – 1.85 t/ha.

Russia harvested flaxseed throughout 21.8 thsd ha only, or 45.3% of the planted areas.

As of August 25, Russian agrarians planted winter crops for the harvest-2017 throughout 1.1 mln ha, or 6.5% of the planned areas (in 2015 — 1.5 mln ha).
