Qualitative characteristics of Ukrainian grains supplied on foreign markets completely meet the international standards, declared the Head of the State Service on Food Safety and Consumers Protection, Volodymyr Lapa.

According to him, the export trading continues developing, and Ukrainian grain products are in demand on the global market. Therefore, Ukrainian grains have the required qualitative indices, and the products meet the necessary phytosanitary standards, and many countries can purchase the products without restrictions.

Since the beginning of the current season and as of August 16, Ukraine provided phytosanitary certification of 4.884 mln tonnes of grain crops for exports, including 2.432 mln tonnes of wheat (1.166 mln tonnes of milling wheat and 1.266 mln tonnes of feed wheat), 1.899 mln tonnes of barley, 444 thsd tonnes of corn, and 108 thsd tonnes of other grains. Also, the State Service certified the quality of 339.3 thsd tonnes of oilseeds, including 191.5 thsd tonnes of rapeseed, and 147.8 thsd tonnes of soybeans.
