During the recent year, Kazakhstan increased wheat exports to China in 4 times, declared the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Gulmira Isayeva on September 7.

According to her, in terms of the ability to transport grains both in bags and in bulk, in accordance with the protocol signed in December 2015, in 2015-2016 Kazakhstan supplied 414 thsd tonnes of grains on the Chinese market, against 110 thsd tonnes in 2014-2015.

To date, Kazakhstan exports wheat (grain and flour), vegetable oils (sunflower, flaxseed, rapeseed, safflower oils) to China.

According to the announcement, to date the Ministry provides negotiations with the National Development and Reform Commission of the People's Republic of China (NDRC) to provide Kazakh enterprises with the quotas for milling wheat exports to China at the level of 500 thsd tonnes with further increasing to 1 mln tonnes in the following 3 years, as well as the quotas for feed wheat - 300 thsd tonnes with further increasing to 2.5 mln tonnes in the following year.
