According to the official statistics figures, in 2015/16 MY (September-August) Russia exported 447.5 thsd tonnes of flaxseed, up 38% compared with 2014/15 MY (323.5 thsd tonnes), which become a new annual record.
Last season, Belgium became the largest country-importer of Russian flaxseed - 45% of the oilseed supplies (48% in the previous season), following by Turkey (20%; 18%) and Latvia (16%; 10%).
