According to regional agricultural departments, as of September 21 Kazakh agrarians harvested grains throughout 11.357 mln ha, or 73.9% of the planned areas, declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As of the reporting date, agrarians produced 16.974 mln tonnes of grains, an increase of 6.7 mln tonnes compared with the same date last year. The average yield totaled 1.49 t/ha (up 0.34 t/ha).
In particular, agrarians of North Kazakhstan oblast harvested 4.365 mln tonnes of grains, Akmola oblast — 4.015 mln tonnes, Kostanay oblast — 3.492 mln tonnes, and East Kazakhstan oblast – 835 thsd tonnes.
