According to the official statistics data, in the first two months of the season-2016/17 (July-August) Ukraine imported 8.8 thsd tonnes of rye flour, while in the same period of the previous season - 1 tonne only. In the current year, Belarus supplied the whole volumes of rye flour.
As a reminder, Ukraine significantly increased foreign purchases of rye flour since mid-2015/16 MY (22.2 thsd tonnes for the whole season; 97% from Belarus). But in the previous three seasons, the imports developed at the minimum level - nearly 10 tonnes per month.
