As of October 18, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 48.73 mln tonnes of grains throughout the areas of 11.741 mln ha, or 82% of the plan. The average yield totaled 4.15 t/ha, reported the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. At the same time, on the same date last year the production volumes reached 50.6 mln tonnes.

In particular, agrarians continued harvesting corn. As of the reporting date, Ukraine harvested 9.854 mln tonnes of the grain throughout 1.75 mln ha (41%). The average yield reached 5.63 t/ha.

Also, Ukraine harvested 183 thsd tonnes of buckwheat throughout 144 thsd ha (96%). The average yield totaled 1.27 t/ha. Agrarians harvested millet throughout 101 thsd ha (97%). The production volumes totaled 183 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 1.82 t/ha.

Agricultural enterprises of Ukraine harvested 10.568 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 4.82 mln ha (81%), with the average yield of 2.19 t/ha.

Ukraine continued harvesting soybeans. Agrarians harvested 2.918 mln tonnes of the oilseed throughout the areas of 1.345 mln ha (73%), with the average yield of 2.17 t/ha.

Ukraine continued realizing the planting campaign of winter grains. As of October 18, agrarians planted winter grains throughout 5.422 mln ha (74% of the plan), down 322 thsd ha compared with the same date last year.

In particular, Ukraine planted winter wheat and triticale throughout 4.894 mln ha (79%), winter rye - 142 thsd ha (97%), and winter barley - 386 thsd ha (38%). Also, Ukraine planted winter rapeseed throughout 769 thsd ha (106%).
