As of October 18, Russian agrarians continued harvesting grains and pulses. Agrarians harvested grain and pulses crops throughout the general areas of 44.1 mln ha (on the same date in 2015 — 42.8 mln ha), or 93.4% of the planned areas. The produced volumes reached 116.3 mln tonnes of grains, with the average yield of 2.64 t/ha (in 2015 – 103.1 mln tonnes with the yield of 2.41 t/ha), reported the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
In particular, agrarians harvested winter and spring wheat throughout 27.1 mln ha (97.9% of the plan). The produced volumes reached 75.6 mln tonnes, with the yield of 2.79 t/ha.
Russia harvested 19 mln tonnes of winter and spring barley throughout 8.1 mln ha (96.9%). The average yield totaled 2.35 t/ha.
Agrarians harvested corn for grain throughout 1.2 mln ha (42.9%), and produced 6.8 mln tonnes of the grain, with the average yield at 5.48 t/ha.
Russia harvested 658 thsd tonnes of rice throughout 106.7 thsd ha (51.8%). The average yield totaled 6.17 t/ha.
Russian agrarians continued the sunflower seed harvesting campaign. Agrarians harvested 7.3 mln tonnes of the oilseed throughout 4.5 mln ha (59.8%). The average yield totaled 1.63 t/ha.
Also, Russia harvested rapeseed throughout 859.7 thsd ha (86.4%), and produced over 1 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the average yield of 1.21 t/ha.
Also, agrarians continued harvesting soybeans: the harvested areas reached 1.3 mln ha (58.6%), the produced volumes – 2.1 mln tonnes, the average yield – 1.68 t/ha.
Russia harvested flaxseed throughout 45 thsd ha only, or 93.5% of the planted areas.
As of October 18, Russian agrarians planted winter crops for the harvest-2017 throughout 15.7 mln ha, or 60.2% of the planned areas (in 2015 — 15.1 mln ha).
