As of October 20, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 49.872 mln tonnes of grains throughout the areas of 11.905 mln ha, or 83% of the plan. The average yield totaled 4.19 t/ha, reported the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. At the same time, on the same date last year the production volumes reached 51.2 mln tonnes.

In particular, agrarians continued harvesting corn. As of the reporting date, Ukraine harvested 10.918 mln tonnes of the grain throughout 1.91 mln ha (45%). The average yield reached 5.72 t/ha.

Also, Ukraine harvested 187 thsd tonnes of buckwheat throughout 146 thsd ha (97%). The average yield totaled 1.28 t/ha. Agrarians harvested millet throughout 101 thsd ha (97%). The production volumes totaled 185 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 1.83 t/ha.

Agricultural enterprises of Ukraine harvested 10.916 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 4.964 mln ha (84%), with the average yield of 2.2 t/ha.

Ukraine continued harvesting soybeans. Agrarians harvested 3.018 mln tonnes of the oilseed throughout the areas of 1.392 mln ha (76%), with the average yield of 2.17 t/ha.

Ukraine continued realizing the planting campaign of winter grains. As of October 20, agrarians planted winter grains throughout 5.646 mln ha (77% of the plan), down 207 thsd ha compared with the same date last year.

In particular, Ukraine planted winter wheat and triticale throughout 5.057 mln ha (82%), winter rye - 145 thsd ha (99%), and winter barley - 443 thsd ha (43%). Also, Ukraine planted winter rapeseed throughout 775 thsd ha (107%).
