As of October 24, Russian agrarians continued harvesting grains and pulses. Agrarians harvested grain crops throughout the general areas of 44.5 mln ha (on the same date in 2015 — 43.3 mln ha), or 94.2% of the planned areas. The produced volumes reached 118.2 mln tonnes of grains, with the average yield of 2.65 t/ha (in 2015 – 104.9 mln tonnes with the yield of 2.42 t/ha), reported the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
In particular, agrarians harvested winter and spring wheat throughout 27.2 mln ha (98.1% of the plan). The produced volumes reached 75.8 mln tonnes, with the yield of 2.79 t/ha.
Russia harvested 19 mln tonnes of winter and spring barley throughout 8.1 mln ha (97%). The average yield totaled 2.35 t/ha.
Agrarians harvested corn for grain throughout 1.5 mln ha (51.1%), and produced 8.2 mln tonnes of the grain, with the average yield at 5.55 t/ha.
Russia harvested 955.4 thsd tonnes of rice throughout 149.2 thsd ha (72.4%). The average yield totaled 6.41 t/ha.
Russian agrarians continued the sunflower seed harvesting campaign. Agrarians harvested 8.3 mln tonnes of the oilseed throughout 5.1 mln ha (68.3%). The average yield totaled 1.62 t/ha.
Also, Russia harvested rapeseed throughout 869.1 thsd ha (87.3%), and produced 1.1 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the average yield of 1.21 t/ha.
Also, agrarians continued harvesting soybeans: the harvested areas reached 1.5 mln ha (69.8%), the produced volumes – 2.5 mln tonnes, the average yield – 1.63 t/ha.
As of October 20, Russian agrarians planted winter crops for the harvest-2017 throughout 16.4 mln ha, or 94.7% of the planned areas (in 2015 — 15.6 mln ha).
