As of October 28, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 53.709 mln tonnes of grains throughout the areas of 12.501 mln ha, or 87% of the plan. The average yield totaled 4.3 t/ha, reported the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. At the same time, on the same date last year the production volumes reached 53.36 mln tonnes.
In particular, agrarians continued harvesting corn. As of the reporting date, Ukraine harvested 14.711 mln tonnes of the grain throughout 2.492 mln ha (59%). The average yield reached 5.9 t/ha.
Also, Ukraine harvested 187 thsd tonnes of buckwheat throughout 147 thsd ha (98%). The average yield totaled 1.27 t/ha. Agrarians harvested millet throughout 102 thsd ha (98%). The production volumes totaled 187 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 1.82 t/ha.
Agricultural enterprises of Ukraine harvested 11.891 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 5.426 mln ha (92%), with the average yield of 2.19 t/ha.
Ukraine continued harvesting soybeans. Agrarians harvested 3.445 mln tonnes of the oilseed throughout the areas of 1.575 mln ha (86%), with the average yield of 2.19 t/ha.
Ukraine continued realizing the planting campaign of winter grains. As of October 28, agrarians planted winter grains throughout 6.401 mln ha (87% of the plan), up 279 thsd ha compared with the same date last year.
In particular, Ukraine planted winter wheat and triticale throughout 5.551 mln ha (90%), winter rye - 152 thsd ha (103%), and winter barley - 698 thsd ha (68%). Also, Ukraine planted winter rapeseed throughout 796 thsd ha (110%).
