Since the beginning of 2016, Kazakhstan exported nearly 7 mln tonnes of grains including flour in grain equivalent, declared the Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Gulmira Isayeva on November 17.

According to her, in the current year the country produced a record grain harvest - 23.7 mln tonnes, with the average yield of 1.54 t/ha.

Also, the Vice Minister reported that the grain production volumes in clean weight are forecasted at 21.4 mln tonnes. Such volumes will completely cover the domestic needs of the country, and increase the export potential to 9 mln tonnes, up nearly 21%, compared with last year.

The countries of Central Asia, Afghanistan, Iran and Azerbaijan are the traditional markets for the exports of Kazakh grains and flour. Also, Kazakhstan plans to increase the supply volumes to the countries of North Africa, the Middle East, the EU and China, informed G.Isayeva.
