Kazakhstan will continue the process of diversification of the planted areas of agricultural crops: wheat areas will reduce by 2.3 mln ha (from 12.4 mln ha in 2016, to 10.1 mln ha in 2021), declared the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Minister of Agriculture, Askar Myrzahmetov on November 18.

Agrarians will plant barley, oats, corn, oilseeds and other agricultural crops throughout the received planted areas, he added.

According to A.Myrzahmetov, the Ministry will pay special attention to stimulation of agrarians to use fertilizers and high-quality seeds. It is planned to increase the volumes of subsidies; improve the mechanism by increasing the standards for foreign fertilizers from 30% to 50%; conclude new memoranda between the producers of fertilizers and the officials to ensure the required supply of fertilizers.
