The export prices for Russian wheat can reach its maximum figures in January 2017, declared the Deputy Director of the strategic management department at Rusagrotrans CJSC, Igor Pavensky.

According to Rusagrotrans analysts, in November 2016 the prices for wheat with 12.5% protein content will reach 181 USD/t FOB, in December - 186 USD/t, in January - 190 USD/t.

At the same time, even in terms of the peak price figures, the index will not exceed the maximum prices in 2015/16 MY, which in November 2015 totaled 198 USD/t, the expert added.

According to I.Pavensky, the export prices will start reducing since February 2017, when the reporting index will fall 188 USD/t. In the following months, the prices will reach 185 USD/t in March, and 180 USD/t in May.

Such tend will develop, due to coming of wheat from Argentina and Australia on the global market, which produced large-scale grain volumes in the current year.
