The currently reduction of export rates of Russian grains compared with last year, demonstrates the presence of sufficient capacities for grain storage, declared the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Alexander Tkachev on November 18.

To date, grain export volumes are lower by 5% compared with the last year figures, but in the beginning of next year the export rates will somewhat change. For example, at the end of 2015 the monthly export rates also lagged behind the 2014 rates, but then in February 2016, the rates completely recovered and became significantly higher. So, grain producers do not hurry to sell grains at the current prices, and wait for the spring. But it is also a good signal: Russia has enough capacities to store such large-scale harvest volumes, the Minister said.
