Russia harvested over 125 mln tonnes of grains - Ministry of Agriculture

As of December 5, Russian agrarians continued harvesting grains and pulses. Agrarians harvested grain crops throughout the general areas of 45.8 mln ha (on the same date in 2015 — 44 mln ha), or 97% of the planned areas. The produced volumes reached 125.1 mln tonnes of grains, with the average yield of 2.73 t/ha (in 2015 – 108.4 mln tonnes with the yield of 2.47 t/ha), reported the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

In particular, agrarians already harvested corn for grain throughout 2.5 mln ha (80.5% of the plan), and produced 14.6 mln tonnes of the grain, with the average yield at 5.89 t/ha.

Russia harvested 1.3 mln tonnes of rice throughout 202.3 thsd ha (98.1%). The average yield totaled 6.44 t/ha.

Russian agrarians continued the sunflower seed harvesting campaign. Agrarians harvested 11 mln tonnes of the oilseed throughout 6.9 mln ha (92.6%). The average yield totaled 1.59 t/ha.

Also, Russia harvested rapeseed throughout 892.5 thsd ha (89.7%), and produced 1.1 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the average yield of 1.21 t/ha.

Agrarians continued harvesting soybeans: the harvested areas reached over 2 mln ha (93.5%), the produced volumes – 3.2 mln tonnes, the average yield – 1.55 t/ha.

As of December 5, Russian agrarians planted winter crops for the harvest-2017 throughout 17.36 mln ha, or 100.1% of the planned areas.
