By 2021, Kazakhstan will increase the exports of agricultural products to 1.5 bln USD, reported the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan - Minister of Agriculture, Askar Myrzakhmetov on April 5.

According to the announcement, the Government developed and approved the State programme for development of the agro-industrial complex for 2017-2021 period, to increase the competitiveness rates of domestic agriculture and improve its export capacities.

Since the beginning of 2017, the export policy will focus on goal-oriented support for promotion of domestic products towards the potential sales markets. Therefore, NC Food Contract Corporation JSC, Kazakh Export and Kazakh Invest will work as the export centre of the agro-industrial complex at their own cost and expense. By 2021, the country will enlarge its export rates from 0.8 bln USD to 1.5 bln USD, said A.Myrzakhmetov.

Also, he reported that to date, the Ministry of Agriculture is actively working in development of organic agriculture in Kazakhstan.
